Greene Maple Farm Greene Maple Farm is a 6 generation maple farm located at Macs Corner , Sebago. Maple Syrup was first produced here before the turn of the century. Arther Dyer taught his children, Arther, Edward and Leona, as his father had taught him, how to make syrup from the maple tree's at Macs Corner at the turn of the century. They tapped tree's along the stone walls of Mac's corner and learned the importance of caring for the tree's and the land that they are on. Some of these same tree's are still tapped today. In 1942, Leona Dyer married Dwight Greene and soon after moved back to Macs Corner to raise 3 children. Of of those children, Theodore, continues to tap the maples today. He has passed on the tradition to his three kids, Tara, Alan and Jason. They in turn have passed this knowledge onto their children. The Greene family strives to promote the sugar maple tree's in the area as well as be good stewards of the land that they are on. As one of the Founding Amine Maple Sunday Sugar houses that opens to the public, Greene Maple Farm is well known for it's maple syrup. Every March, on the fourth Sunday, The Sebago Community Fire Company has a pancake breakfast to raise funds for the Sebago Fire Department. Greene Maple Farm donates approximately 10 gallons of fresh maple syrup to the fire company to serve to the 500 + breakfast goers.
