A. T. Greene provides plowing and sanding for the Sebago Lake region.
We specialize in steep and difficult driveways, pushing
the snow back from the beginning of the year, rather than wait
until your road becomes a problem. Many of our customers have
challenging driveways that other plow operators refuse to plow
or just don't have the equipment to handle them. Our list of satisfied customers includes: Four Seasons Variety (10 years) Sebago Post Office (10 years) Taralaine Estates (8 years) Winn Mtn. Road (private portion, 3 years) Rockcraft Lodge (5 years) Jordan Realty (4 years, sanding only) Plowing/Sanding/Ice Control: Photos A. T. Greene is equipped to handle all your snowplowing, sanding and ice control needs in the Sebago area. We are fully insured for both commercial and residential, and offer around the clock service. Even if you contract plowing with another contractor, we are happy to handle the sanding and salting of your driveway or road. Road Grading: Photos Maine roads and driveways are subject to many extremes. Winter's frost, springs freeze and thaw cycles combined with the cumulative effects of summer downpours lead to potholes and ruts on a poorly constructed road. A properly graded road has a crowned center which allows for the water to shed unimpeded INTO the ditches and then drains away from the road. Standing water on a road is a recipe for failure. We specialize in building and maintaining roads and driveways in difficult areas. Ditching: Photos and Culverts: Photos "A clean ditch is a happy ditch". Your ditches are an important part of your roads longevity. If a culvert of ditch becomes clogged, you road will soon be flooded and erosion will quickly cost you money. We stress the role that routine maintenance should play in your planning of a driveway or road. All roads need maintenance, and routine maintenance saves you money. We stock culverts for emergency replacement and stand behind what we install. Rock Walls: Photos A. T. Greene also does rock walls. Some of our work can be seen at 70 Burnham Road in South Bridgton. Here a 100' x 6' granite slab wall collapsed due to a failed septic system. The wall was reassembled with proper drainage and materials, a new septic system was installed and drainage was added to the basement of the house to prevent future flooding. Shoreland Preservation / Repair: Photos Here are some examples of our work. Many of these photos are examples of Best Managment Practices for Shoreline Stabilization and Erosion Control that were taken at Portland Water District in Standish, Maine. A. T. Greene was hired to do install several different B.M.P.'s for the staff of Portland Water District to use as educational material for the general public when they have an erosion problem. These can be seen at the intersection of Route 35 and Route 237 at the Portland Water District Resource Protection Headquarters. Erosion Control Erosion costs property owners lost soil and the cost of repair. Vegetation and proper shaping of ditches in areas where water runs is vital to controlling erosion. Don't let your investment erode over time. Prevent erosion before it becomes a problem. A. T. Greene is pleased to announce the addition of a bale chopper to his fleet of equipment. A bale chopper is used to spray chopped hay onto soil to prevent erosion. The chopper as well as hay to feed it is a quick and efficient way to cover exposed soil until vegetation can take root. Contact us for an estimate on protecting your property from erosion. Foundations & Septic Systems A. T.
