Why wait until your road becomes a problem? Many of our customers have challenging driveways that other plow operators refuse to plow or just don't have the equipment to handle.

Our list of satisfied customers includes:

Four Seasons Variety (10 years)

Even if you contract plowing with another contractor, we are happy to handle the sanding and salting of your driveway or road.

A. T. Greene is pleased to announce the recent addition of a 1963 Oshkosh plow truck to it's fleet.
It has a 10' V plow and an 11' wing capable of widening your road or driveway back to a safe width. You need not be a regular customer to utilize this service, please call us for an estimate to get the snow pushed off of your road. A few reasons to get the snow pushed back:

* Oil Deliveries
* Emergency Services Access Such As Fire and Ambulance's
* Helps to Prevent Erosion, Pushing The Snow Out Into The Ditches Allows The Spring Rains To
   Drain Off The Road Surface and Drain into The Ditch Where It Belongs
* Makes Room For More Snow
* Improves Visibility

As always, we offer Seasonal Plowing as well as Ice Control with the use of Salt or Salt Sand Mix.

Driveway & road repairs, including grading and rebuilding, culvert installation & repair.

Maine roads and driveways are subject to many extremes. Winter's frost, springs freeze and thaw cycles combined with the cumulative effects of summer downpours lead to potholes and ruts on a poorly constructed road.

A properly graded road has a crowned center which allows for the water to shed unimpeded INTO the ditches and then drains away from the road. Standing water on a road is a recipe for failure. We specialize in building and maintaining roads and driveways in difficult areas.

"A clean ditch is a happy ditch". Your ditches are an important part of your roads longevity. If a culvert or ditch becomes clogged, you road will soon be flooded and erosion will quickly cost you money. We stress the role that routine maintenance should play in your planning of a driveway or road. All roads need maintenance, and routine maintenance saves you money.

We stock culverts for emergency replacement and stand behind what we install

Also, a new piece of equipment has been added to our road maintenance arsenal. The Frontrunner rake allows us to rapidly grade and slope your road or driveway into shape. It's ideal for routine road maintenance.

Stonewalls:

A. T. Greene also does rock walls. Some of my work can be seen at 70 Burnham Road in South Bridgton. Here a 100' x 6' granite slab wall collapsed due to a failed septic system. The wall was reassembled with proper drainage and materials, a new septic system was installed and drainage was added to the basement of the house to prevent future flooding.

Erosion mitigation, shorefront erosion control- retaining wall maintenance and repair.

Some of my work can be seen at Portland Water District Education and Ecology Center, 1 Whiterock Road Standish, Maine.

Project included:
A walkway around the building comprised of different types of erosion control materials.
Steps made from cedar timbers and crushed stone as would be used in erosion sensitive areas.
A parking lot "paved" with grass using a material called Grasspave 2.
A walkway paved with pervious pavers.

Feel free to stop in and visit the center to see the results of my efforts.

Erosion Control:

Erosion costs property owners lost soil and the cost of repair. Vegetation and proper shaping of ditches in areas where water runs is vital to controlling erosion. Don't let your investment erode over time. Prevent erosion before it becomes a problem.

Lawn Installation: Using my own blend of loam, screened in my own screen plant, allows top quality control for your satisfaction. We use material that has been gathered from fields, lawns and farms, mix with aged manure that has composted to blend a dark rich soil great for growing vegetables & lawns. We DO NOT ADD SAND. My loam is pure loam without the filler used by some gravel operations.
